Hello! I come bearing great news for IHMSBY fans! There’s gonna be a 2022 ver. physical copy of the novel out for pre-order on September 3rd 2022 at 19:00 (Assuming it’s China’s time; GMT +8). The physical book title is “我叫我同桌教你”. Basing on the Changpei title, I think the translation would be “I’ll Have My Seatmate Teach You a Lesson”.
And there’s probably going to be some changes to the novel; the author especially mentioned one part she changed on her Weibo:
There’s a small matter that didn’t seem like it was necessary to tell you guys, but I should still say it—
When revising “I’ll Have My Seatmate Beat You”, the part where Lin Shida likes Gu Qinan, got rejected, and became twisted, had to be removed. For the sake of logic, I changed it to an isolated girl (tn: Maybe from being bullied?) being rejected by Gu Qinan. Lin Shida witnessed it, told everyone about it, and make fun of her for it. Gu Qinan didn’t ridicule her like everyone else, which caused the bullying incident led by Lin Shida.
This small part adds a character into the novel, and add probably 2k words to the involved plotline. I’m telling you guys now so as to not cause any misunderstandings!
I tried my best, but there were some parts I wasn’t sure if I got right, so apologies.
